  I love the food it's a bit noisy but you can always find a spot to sit. It's balcony views the red river and it's fun to sit out there and eat a change of pace on a nice day. In the autumn season, when there are wasps about no problem, they serve them something extra sweet and the wasps leave you alone. I love the blue cheese burger with crumbled blue cheese and mushrooms and yes they have sweet potato fries with their own special sauce. The price is reasonable and this building survived the 1997 flood but was on the other side of the street at the time. Quick thinking saved our blue moose and now it's the hub of all activities: proms, the arts and crafts, after or before a movie, the park....

  Great food and an amazing beer selection. The staff are all very nice and accommodating. I have eaten nearly every item on the menu and can honestly say that I haven't had a bad item. Highly recommended!

  It is fine for what it is. It is not a fancy restaurant and it isn't fast food. It is a non-chain of the Ruby Tuesday or TGI Fridays ilk with more character, better beer selection, quite a bit more seating, and a much better location. If that is the type of place you are looking for I would choose it above the chains unless you or another guest has food allergies. The chains seem to have allergy menus, Blue Moose does not the last time I asked. I would bring out of town guests here if they are staying more than a day and you are tired of cooking.

  What a wonderful hidden gem! We were on our way back to Canada and wanted a non-chain restaurant with some character, for a decent price...and we found it! The ahi tuna and stuffed mushrooms were DELICIOUS (and at $10 for both who can go wrong?). Huge beer selection with unique beers, not just your standard "bud light, coors" selection. I had the steak Caesar salad...was a bit worried about the dressing because it contained horseradish, but wasn't an over powering flavour and really complimented the dish. My boyfriend had the outlaw burger which was AMAZING. At almost 7oz meat, very fresh and tasty burger. His biggest complaint were the fries (he ordered seasoned fries but they seemed a little plain...which didn't seem like a big deal to me). Great prices, great service! Loved sitting out on the patio in the sun and enjoying our meal! Our next trip over the border will be to the Blue Moose!
